Love & Carry LoveTai Review

Love & Carry LoveTai Review

I carry my baby a lot! Sure, mostly in wraps as that's what I find the most comfortable, but I'm also very proficient with any type of carrier and have tried a little bit of everything after almost four and a half years of carrying my two children. So, when I saw the opportunity to try this new -to-me meh dai, I didn't think twice and applied immediately.

The meh dai I'm writing about is the LoveTai made by Love & Carry, a Ukranian brand. It was sent to me as a tester, by their retailer in the UK, Love To Be Natural.

The one I received was made from 100% cotton wrap fabric, in light grey and the pattern has some silver stars. The fabric feels soft and smooth in hand, almost silky, and is on the thin side, although still very strong. It is not very structured. The straps are wide and non-padded, but there is some padding on the waistband. I found that to be very comfortable and easy to work with. It almost felt like I was using a wrap.

The LoveTai is fully adjustable, it has width and height adjusters, but since I was carrying a 16 month old, I didn't need to reduce the panel at all. The brand says that it is suitable from newborn to toddler, within the weight range of 3 to 15kg.

The panel size was absolutely perfect for my child. When fully opened, it reached knee to knee on her and the nape of her neck in height. She is around 82cm and 10kg, making her just a little over the middle of the weight range.

This meh dai has a flat hood attached, with some long cords, that can be used to protect the baby's head from the weather or as an extra support in case they fall asleep. There's also some padding in the leg area, to make sure the child is comfortable and no fabric digs in.

I used this carrier mostly for school runs and our morning walks after, both on my front and my back. It is very easy to put on and adjust and once on, it feels like second skin. I was always comfortable. The wide straps over my shoulder and back meant that my baby's weight was well spread and there were no pressure points at all, and since the waistband is very soft and flexible, there was no digging anywhere. The longest time I wore it for was 2 hours and when I took it off, there was no soreness or tired muscles. Carrying with this was an absolute breeze!

Love To be Natural retails the LoveTai for only £49.95, which makes this carrier the perfect budget option, and I definitely recommend you consider it. It is very well made, safe (complies with European safety norms) and you, or your child, won't be missing out on comfort!
