About Us
Looking to find out a bit more about us? Well, you're in the right place.

Well hello there, fancy seeing you here.
Lemme guess - you’re on this page looking to find out a bit more about us and who we are, am I right?
Surely you’ve better things to be doing with your time? No?
Ok then, well since you’re here, I'll tell you who we are and stuff.
Let me start from the beginning.
I'm Beth. That's me in the cute pic above.
I grew up in Edinburgh near Portobello. When I was three, I got my left foot stuck in a...
Oh, not that far back? You don’t want me doing a Chunk?
Ok.
Let me see...
Ok! I started LTBN 16 years ago after discovering babywearing (I’m not claiming to actually have DISCOVERED babywearing obviously, but you know what I mean!) with my first baby.
Though he’s a baby no more… he’s 17 years old and over 6 foot tall.
(Although in some ways he’s still a GINORMOUS BABY, usually when it comes to making his breakfast. I have watched, aghast, as he’s let his 9 year old sister HELP HIM MAKE TOAST. But that’s another story haha).
Anyway, all those years ago I had got a really cheap sling off of Ebay and had a terrible time with it.
I couldn’t figure out how to use it correctly and it was really uncomfortable.
Standing in front of the mirror in the bedroom, trying to figure out how the sling worked, I remember he started to cry, out of patience as he was with my ineptitude, which meant that I started to cry too, out of patience as I was with my ineptitude.
And then the hubs started to cry, though I think that was just because he didn’t want to feel left out; he seems to have infinite patience for his own ineptitude.
Anyway, rather than give up completely, I realised that there must be slings out there that were easier to use and millions times comfier.
I knew I wanted to carry my baby you see, and knew that being in a sling was the best place for him.
And such was my entrance down the incredible rabbit hole that is babywearing and slings.
Not only did I want to carry my baby, I knew I wanted to make it easier for other mums and dads to find slings and carriers that would be easy to use, comfortable, and fab for baby too.
I didn’t want people to give up babywearing because they thought slings were too difficult to use or uncomfortable; the connection, bonding and memories to be made are way too important!
And so LTBN was born, with the mission of curating the world’s best baby carriers, slings and accessories.
Screw the 2 masters degrees and the PhD, I knew then that babywearing was my calling!
Four kids and 16 years later the original lineup of brands still remains, but has grown into a collection of the world's best baby carriers, wraps, slings and accessories.
I hope our products make life easier for you and your growing family, and allow you to get on with every day tasks and adventure hands-free.
All whilst helping you create the incredibly deep attachment that comes from babywearing.
But Who Am I To Be Giving Advice?
I've been involved in babywearing (either doing it or teaching it) in one way, shape or form pretty much every day for the last 17 years. Yes,
SEVENTEEN YEARS.
I've seen it all when it comes to babywearing. I've helped thousands of families of all sorts from all over the world carry their babies.
I have babywearing stories you wouldn't believe.
Beth is a fountain of knowledge with a passion for babywearing that is clear and infectious.
I started professional training in 2011 with Trageschule UK (Foundation, Advanced & Certified courses) and then Slingababy training, too.
I’m a breastfeeding peer supporter and a breastfeeding / feeding in a sling specialist.
I've undertaken training in Attachment Theory with a specialisation in babywearing.
I also founded Babywearing NI (a community sling library providing support and advice to parents, caregivers and community groups) in 2010. Still going strong, it's now one of the longest running sling libraries in the UK and Ireland.
So let's just say I know a thing or two when it comes to babywearing.
If you have any questions or need any advice, use the button down on the right that says 'Help'. There's no question too daft, and more than likely I've helped lots of parents before you with exactly the same issue.
Helping you create memories that come from the joy of babywearing is truly special and my greatest privilege.
